Atmos This Week Aug. 3 2026

Watch for new spatial audio releases this week from Anne-Sophie Mutter, Bruce Liu

These are the releases in Dolby Atmos spatial audio you can look out for this week, sorted by release day. Links will take you directly to Apple Music, log in there for a seemless listening experience Friday is the usual release day on streaming services, so set aside some time on August 7!

August 7

Anne-Sophie Mutter (violin), Lambert Orkis (piano) — My Lucerne (Deutsche Grammophon, 2026). This is the third album of Mutter’s seven-part album series coming out this year and next, music inspired by various cities. Already this year we had London (Feb.) and Berlin (June). Only the first few tracks of Lucerne are in spatial audio (Zigeunerweise), so you won’t see the Dolby Atmos label on your Apple Music page (they only label albums where every track is Atmos)

Bruce Liu (piano) — Lunaris (Deutsche Grammophon, 2026). An imaginative concept album, suggesting a nocturnal journey, from eethoven’s Moonlight Sonata and Chopin, through Debussy, Scriabin, Mompou, Ligeti, and finally Cage’s Dream. The repertoire’s shifting moods should benefit both from Liu’s coloristic brilliance, and the spaciousness from the Atmos mix.
